Description
Bring a little of the beauty of nature into your home with this colourful handmade fused glass heart suncatcher, featuring a charming floral design in shades of blue and pink. The flowers sit amongst green stems, creating a cheerful garden-inspired design that looks particularly lovely when displayed where it can catch the natural light.
Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this heart-shaped suncatcher is made using individual pieces of glass that I carefully cut, arrange and layer by hand. Different colours and textures of glass are combined to create the flowers and stems before the piece is kiln-fired at high temperatures. The firing process can take up to 20 hours, fusing the layers together to create a unique piece of handmade glass art.
Every Livicraft suncatcher is a one-off design. I enjoy experimenting with different colours, shapes, textures and combinations of glass, and always try to create something different, so no two suncatchers are exactly the same. This makes each piece an individual work of glass art with its own character.
Measuring approximately 87mm x 96mm, the glass heart has a hole drilled at the top with a white ribbon threaded through, ready to hang in a window or sunny spot. The colourful glass can catch and reflect the natural light, adding a cheerful touch to your space.
A lovely choice for anyone who enjoys flowers, colourful home décor and handmade glass art, this floral heart would also make a thoughtful gift for someone special who appreciates unique handmade pieces.
