Description
Add a splash of colour and a touch of sparkle to your home with this unique handmade fused glass suncatcher. Featuring colourful transparent glass beads, clear stringers and a clear glass base, this tactile design has a lovely bubbly appearance and plenty of texture. The combination of glass elements creates an interesting pattern that catches the light beautifully.
Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this suncatcher is made using individual pieces of glass. The colourful transparent beads are created from glass frit, which is kiln-fired to soften and round the edges, creating smooth, rounded beads. These are then carefully arranged and fused onto a clear glass base, together with clear glass stringers, to create the textured design. The kiln-firing process fuses the different elements together to create a unique piece of handmade glass art.
I enjoy experimenting with different colours, textures and glass techniques, and each suncatcher is individually made. No two pieces are exactly the same, making each one a one-off design with its own character.
Measuring approximately 57mm x 180mm, this colourful fused glass suncatcher has a clear cord attached and is ready to hang in a sunny window or another bright spot. The transparent glass allows the natural light to shine through, bringing the colours, textures and bubbly shapes to life.
A lovely choice for anyone who enjoys colourful home décor and unusual handmade glass art, or as a thoughtful gift for someone who appreciates unique pieces.
