Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this heart-shaped suncatcher is made from individual pieces of glass that I carefully cut, stack and layer by hand. Glass powders, stringers and small pieces of frit are added to build up the design before the piece is kiln-fired at high temperatures. The firing process can take up to 20 hours, allowing the different layers of glass to fuse together and creating a unique piece of handmade glass art.
Measuring approximately 95mm x 86mm, the fused glass heart suncatcher has a hole drilled at the top and comes with a white ribbon threaded through, ready to hang in a window or sunny spot. When the light catches the colourful glass, the piece comes to life and adds a cheerful touch to your space.
