Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this heart-shaped suncatcher is made from individual pieces of glass that I carefully cut, arrange and layer by hand. Round glass beads and other small pieces of glass are added to build up the design before the piece is kiln-fired at high temperatures. The firing process can take up to 20 hours, fusing the layers of glass together and creating a unique piece of handmade glass art.
Every Livicraft suncatcher is made as a one-off design. I enjoy experimenting with different colours, shapes, textures and combinations of glass, and always try to create something different, so no two suncatchers are exactly the same. This means that when you choose one of my handmade suncatchers, you are buying an individual piece rather than a mass-produced decoration.
A hole has been drilled at the top and a white ribbon threaded through, ready to hang in a window or sunny spot where the glass can catch the natural light.
