Description
Bring a little piece of the coast into your home with this colourful handmade fused glass heart suncatcher, featuring a cheerful coastal scene of blue sky, turquoise sea and vibrant flowers along the beach. The flowers are created in bright shades of red, orange and yellow, adding a splash of warmth and colour against the calming blues of the sea and sky.
Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this heart-shaped suncatcher is made using individual pieces of glass that I carefully cut, arrange and layer by hand. Different types of glass and small decorative pieces are combined to build up the coastal design before the suncatcher is kiln-fired at high temperatures. The firing process can take up to 20 hours, allowing the layers to fuse together and creating a unique piece of handmade glass art.
Each Livicraft suncatcher is a one-off design. I enjoy experimenting with different colours, shapes and combinations of glass, and always try to create something different, so no two suncatchers are exactly the same. This makes each piece an individual work of handmade art with its own character.
The fused glass heart suncatcher measures approximately 94mm x 87mm and has a hole drilled at the top with a white ribbon threaded through, ready to hang in a window or sunny spot. As the natural light shines through the colourful glass, the coastal colours come to life.
A lovely choice for anyone who loves the sea, colourful coastal décor and handmade glass art. It would also make a thoughtful gift for someone who would enjoy bringing a little slice of the coast into their home.
