Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this suncatcher is made using individual pieces of glass that are carefully cut and arranged by hand. The transparent coloured glass is cut into wave shapes and layered to create the flowing design, with small pieces of glass frit added for extra colour, texture and detail. The piece is then kiln-fired at high temperatures, fusing the different elements together to create a unique piece of handmade glass art.
I enjoy experimenting with different colours, shapes, textures and combinations of glass when creating my suncatchers, so every piece is made as an individual design. No two are exactly the same, making each one a one-off piece with its own character.
