Add a splash of colour and texture to your home with this unique handmade fused glass suncatcher, featuring a bubbly design in blue and clear glass with a touch of shimmering dichroic glass. The many rounded glass beads give the piece its distinctive bubbly appearance, creating a tactile surface that catches and reflects the light beautifully.
Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this suncatcher is made using individual pieces of glass. The transparent blue glass beads are created from glass frit, which is kiln-fired to soften and round the edges, transforming the small pieces of glass into smooth, rounded beads. These beads are then carefully arranged and fused onto clear glass to create the textured bubbly effect. A touch of dichroic glass adds an extra flash of colour and sparkle when it catches the light.
I enjoy experimenting with different colours, textures and glass techniques to create individual pieces of handmade glass art, so each suncatcher has its own character.
Two holes have been drilled in the top corners and clear cord has been threaded through, ready to hang from a hook. Hook not supplied.
Measuring approximately 148mm x 49mm, this colourful blue fused glass suncatcher would look lovely hanging in a sunny window or bright space where the natural light can shine through the blue and clear glass.
