Description
Add a splash of colour and a touch of quirkiness to your home with this unique handmade abstract fused glass suncatcher. Featuring an unusual abstract geometric shape, the design is made from clear glass strips forming the outline, with vibrant strips of opaque yellow, green and turquoise glass and transparent red glass crossing through the centre.
The combination of clear and coloured glass gives this suncatcher a simple but striking appearance, with the different strips creating a colourful pattern as they overlap and intersect. The transparent red glass allows the natural light to shine through, while the opaque colours provide a lovely contrast.
Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this suncatcher is made by carefully cutting and arranging individual strips of glass by hand. The clear glass is positioned to create the outer shape, while the coloured glass strips are arranged across the centre to build up the design. The piece is then kiln-fired at high temperatures, fusing the different pieces together to create a unique piece of handmade glass art.
Every Livicraft suncatcher is made as a one-off design. I enjoy experimenting with different colours, shapes and combinations of glass, so no two pieces are exactly the same.
Measuring approximately 180mm x 120mm, this colourful abstract fused glass suncatcher hangs from a black ribbon and is ready to display in a window or another bright spot where the light can shine through the glass.
A lovely choice for anyone who enjoys colourful, contemporary and quirky handmade décor, or as a thoughtful gift for someone who appreciates something a little different.
