Description
Bring the warm colours of autumn into your home with this small handmade fused glass suncatcher, featuring a colourful combination of red, orange, yellow and green. Its simple square shape takes on a diamond-like appearance when hung at an angle, creating an attractive display of autumn-inspired colour.
Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this suncatcher is made using individual pieces of glass that are carefully cut, arranged and layered by hand. The different colours are combined to create a vibrant design before the glass is kiln-fired at high temperatures, fusing the elements together to create a unique piece of handmade glass art.
I enjoy experimenting with different colours, shapes and combinations of glass when creating my suncatchers, and each piece is made individually. This little autumn-inspired design brings together rich, warm tones in a colourful decoration that can be enjoyed year after year.
A hole has been drilled at one corner of the square glass, allowing it to hang diagonally from a ribbon and display its diamond-like shape. Hang it in a window or another sunny spot where the natural light can shine through the glass and bring the autumn colours to life.
Measurements: The glass measures approximately 70mm x 70mm. When hung diagonally, it measures approximately 98mm from top to bottom and 98mm across, excluding the ribbon.
A lovely little addition to your autumn décor, or a thoughtful gift for anyone who enjoys colourful home décor and handmade glass art.
