The flowers have a textured, tactile finish, giving each suncatcher a lovely handmade character. A hole has been drilled at the top of each piece and a white ribbon threaded through, ready for hanging in a window where they can catch the natural light.
Each coastal suncatcher is handcrafted from glass in my Brixham studio. I hand-cut and layer the glass before kiln-firing it at high temperatures, allowing the individual pieces to fuse together into a single piece. The result is a colourful little piece of glass art, made in a small batch rather than mass produced.
The triangular fused glass coastal suncatchers each measure approximately 68mm x 76mm and feature a colourful combination of blue and orange flowers against the glass.
Hang them in a window to bring a little coastal and floral character to your home, or display them anywhere you would like to add a pop of colour. They would also make a colourful gift for a beach lover, a coastal home, or anyone who enjoys unique handmade glass art.
