Description
Add a touch of colour and whimsy to your home with this lovely handmade fused glass heart suncatcher, featuring a vibrant floral design created using colourful Murrini slices, glass stringers and frit. The combination of different shapes, colours and textures gives this cheerful piece plenty of detail and a truly individual character.
Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this heart-shaped suncatcher is made from individual pieces of glass that I carefully cut, arrange and layer by hand. Murrini slices, stringers and small pieces of glass frit are added to build up the colourful floral design before the piece is kiln-fired at high temperatures. The firing process can take up to 20 hours, fusing the different layers together to create a unique piece of handmade glass art.
Every Livicraft suncatcher is made as a one-off design. I enjoy experimenting with different colours, shapes and combinations of glass, and always try to create something different, so no two suncatchers are exactly the same. This means each one has its own individual design and character.
Measuring approximately 90mm x 90mm, the fused glass heart suncatcher has a hole drilled at the top with a white ribbon threaded through, ready to hang in a window or sunny spot. When the natural light shines through the colourful glass, the colours and details can really come to life.
A lovely choice for anyone who enjoys colourful home décor and handmade glass art, this floral heart suncatcher would also make a thoughtful gift for someone special who appreciates unique handmade pieces.
