Add a warm splash of colour to your home with this unique handmade fused glass suncatcher, featuring a bubbly design in vibrant orange and clear glass with a touch of shimmering dichroic glass. The many rounded glass beads create a wonderfully tactile surface, giving this suncatcher its distinctive bubbly appearance and plenty of texture.
Handcrafted in my home studio in Brixham, Devon, this suncatcher is made using individual pieces of glass. The transparent orange glass beads are created from glass frit, which is kiln-fired to soften and round the edges, transforming the small pieces into smooth, rounded beads. The beads are then carefully arranged and fused onto clear glass, creating the raised, textured effect. A touch of dichroic glass adds an extra flash of colour and sparkle when it catches the light.
I enjoy experimenting with different colours, textures and glass techniques when creating my suncatchers, so each piece has its own individual character. The combination of the vibrant orange glass, clear background and flashes of dichroic makes this a particularly eye-catching piece.
Two holes have been drilled in the top corners and clear cord has been threaded through, ready to hang from a hook. Hook not supplied.
Measuring approximately 148mm x 49mm, this colourful orange fused glass suncatcher would look lovely hanging in a sunny window or bright space where the natural light can shine through the glass and highlight the textured surface.
